2014 Mazda5 Liftgate opening while driving

I had an issue with the liftgate not working and the whole lock mechanism was replaced. Now it seems something is getting wet in rain and causing a short. The lock will disengage at any point when the car is on and open the hatch. At this point, after a couple mechanics haven’t fixed it, I just want to stop it from happening. Is there a way to override the liftgate latch so it doesn’t open? I don’t even care if the trunk can only be opened manually through that latch inside the car. Is there a fuse that can just be pulled? Any help would be really appreciated.
