2014 CX-5 Touring
Hello everyone. I picked up my 2014 CX-5 Touring last night. Pretty much only driven it home and then to work and back today. Drove through a thunderstorm on my way home and it behaved wonderfully. The rain sensitive wipers are kind of odd, as they change speeds very often and randomly. The 'brake assist' is more of a downshift than actually braking. Really like the navigation screen, the pandora app is pretty cool and the hd radio sounds good. I traded in a 2011 Nissan Altima with a 3.5L V6 so I am getting used to the difference in power but I would actually say that the CX-5 handles better than my Altima with 'sport-tuned' suspension ever did. If anybody has questions, feel free to ask.

Nice! I bought mine on a rainy day, the sun came out not long after signing the papers (really ;) ).

That makes two of us...driving in a thunderstorm on the first day
Wasn't too happy it had to get that dirty on its maiden voyage

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the forum. Keep us informed on how she performs.

Congrats on new CX-5, love that color combo.

"Brake assist" safety feature works the same as on all modern cars and gives full braking power in panic stop situations.

Congrats on the purchase!

I'm looking to purchase a 2014 cx5 touring myself.

Question: The gauges of the car, what's in the right "pod"? in the 2013 model, the screen was a dark blue background with fixed white lettering showing ambient temps, fuel gauge, trip computer and mpg's. Is your's an actual screen with red display?
