2014 GT Nav Map Spinning in Place

Hi,

My 2014 GT is about 8 months old and I've never had major issues with the nav until now. About a week ago it kept saying there was an error saving settings (I can't remember the wording). The nav refused to work until I removed the SD card and put it back in. Ever since, the map frequently spins in place and the GPS is constantly losing the signal. The map even spins in place while I'm driving down the road.

My maps and the nav application were out of date (by about 3 months). I updated both last night and scanned the SD card for errors (none were found). I'm taking the car in for an oil change in a couple of weeks so I'll have the dealer look at it. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

It's my understanding the nav unit has its own built-in storage, separate from the SD card. When maps are updated I can see it copying them from the SD card. I'm wondering if the nav unit's built-in storage has developed problems. Ugh.

I had the same issue on mine and updated the tomtom memory card with the quick gps fix available on tomtom home via the computer.

That solved my problem.
