First post to the forum as a potentially new Mazda 2014 CX-9 Grand Touring owner. I say potential because the CX-9 that I found for sale is what I was looking for, but I found what looks like a powdery white or grey coating all over the four calipers, and the rotors have some rust showing. All the 20" wheels appear to have a dark blemishes closer to the hub.
I don't think that this is normal for a car with 13k miles. My main concern is not the appearance but that this is a sign that there will be a big expensive in the near feature. What do you think? Anyone have this sort of experience? Has it caused any unexpected problems for you? I hope that this is nothing major and I will love driving this car if I do buy it.
By the way, I live in central Florida and the original owner of the car also lives in this area. So I don't know that the weather would have such a negative effective on these parts.
Here are some pictures.
