Thanks, I was wondering if it was a lining that may have been on the bead of the tire.
awwww crap, now that you mentioned it, upon closer inspection you are right and should be concerned ,
the idiot tire mount technician did not peel off the plastic wheel protection film from the wheel manufacturer entirely before mounting the tire !
he actually mounted the tire up against the wheel manufacturer's plastic protection film instead of the wheel itself and now the plastic film is stuck in between the tire bead and wheel.
this is not just a piece of plastic over the wheel that I was thinking about that I see on car carriers in the highway when transporting new cars and you see the blue transparent film over the wheels for dust/scratch protection.
see picture below with red arrow , I can actually see the thin plastic film between the tire bead and the wheel.
I would take it to the dealer and show to them along with the picture below, can't be good to have a piece of plastic film between tire bead and wheel, might lose tire pressure during cold temperatures.
It's an easy fix for them, they have to un-mount the tire, peel off the plastic film inside the wheel rim, re-mount and re-balance.
