I have 2 2014 CX-5 Touring FWDs
I had an issue w/my key fob and the system immobilzer (?) or key fob indicator. For the past week, when I come home, park, and turn off the engine, I keep hearing beeps. This went on for a few days. The key fob indicator would blink and beep. I couldn't lock the door.
Today, the car wouldn't start. I thought it was the key fob because it seemed like the car wouldn't sense the fob. After I put the battery in, it still didn't start.
I ended up jumping the car w/my jump box and it started.
My question is did the beeping burn the car battery out? Was my key fob battery signal draining the car battery?
