2014 CX5
Hi, i just bought a 2014 CX5, now i want to install the aftermarket HID kit. SInce CX-5 has the DRL function, the question is do I need the Waring Canceller relay to avoid HID flickering problem?

I'm thinking to buy the eBay HID kit for like $30 shipped, will that work just good as 100$+ HID kit?

any comments will really appreciated,

thanks,

You will get turd quality bulbs with equally turd quality ballast that have poor internal components, poor weather sealing, and won't nearly crank out as much wattage as marketed. The cheapest you should go is VVME, anything less (including DDM), forget it. If you're going to go this route of using an HID kit, ideally it would be best to use a Denso, or Matsushita unit.

Also, keep in mind that it is most definitely not recommended to swap in HID kits into halogen projectors, grant it is slightly better than using HID kits in halogen reflector housings. You WILL get glare, hot spotting, and narrow light distribution. The bowls and lenses of the halogen projector housings are completely different from the HID projector houses (much narrower too).

I have the VVME kit without the relay (35w) and it works fine. I did order the relay just in case but I haven't needed it yet
