2014.5 CX-5 GT with Bose 9 speakers...different speaker swap out than Touring?

I think I was riding the forum waves too long, as I started to remove the front door speakers (which are 8" Bose bass speakers) I realized I may be interfering with a system different that the mid level unit.

The specs say that the front door speakers run at 1.25 ohm, while the rest run at 4 ohms (the 3 3" dash speakers, 2 5.25" rear door speakers, and 2 3"rear d pillar).

I was hoping for a cleaner sound up front by replacing the front door speakers with 6.5"s Polk DXi651s and the front dash speakers with 3.5" Polk DB351s. But if the system has a dedicated BOSE 225w amp, are the front door speakers stuck at a 2 ohm rating direct from the amp?

Anyone else working on the BOSE system, compared to the regular Touring system?

Am I just being too picky on the sound? The BOSE seems to be VERY front dash heavy...which means you have a 225w 3-3" speaker system, the rears are so far away, and there is a 16 month old baby in the way...
