2013 navigation connecting via AUX

Just wondering if anyone else gets the same on their screen. When I connect the iphone 4s via AUX to the car the AUX screen on the navigation display just shows a cable on the screen and nothing else, it all works though, do you guys get this also?
However I cannot play songs on via AUX if connected via USB also which I think is normal.

I have a 2010 with nav, when I use bluetooth for audio all the nav screen says its BT audio (no song details)...and that's a digital connection, your aux input only inputs the audio signal and its not going to know any of the information so thats why your screen is mostly blank (unless you change it to another screen). Why wouldnt you want to use the digital bluetooth connection anyway?

I am not using it with BT connection at all, I only use BT for calls. My above post was connecting it for music via the USB and also the AUX inputs.

I know...what i'm saying is that if a digital connection like BT isnt going to show you the song data, an aux port definitely wouldnt. I didnt think that the 2012 had a USB port?

Yes the 13my has a USB. I find when I connect the phone via USB it plays iTunes fine ( no album art though ) and also doesn't store the last played song. So upon disconnection or turning car off it will play from the 1st song again.
I figured utilising the aux connector so that i can play songs thru spotify or other streaming apps, however the aux screen shows an image of the aux cable and I find myself having to tab to the iPod menu on the nav screen to pause the iTunes song then play the song from spotify via the iPhone. Once he song on spotify ends the next track plays from iTunes for some reason so a real pain in the ass. Lol
