2012 Mazda3 Skyactiv - 1000 kms per tank of gas TRUE or FALSE ?

hi there every one,

I am new here - I am thinking about buying the 2012 mazda 3 skyactiv, I live in Miami, my work is a hour highway drive away -some of the mazda dealers claim the car gets 1000 km per tank of gas - on my current car chevy optra (same size engine 2.0) I was filling up every 4th day & getting about 480 km per tank - can anyone explain these figures, how many kms are you getting ? , is buying the skyactiv even worth the money here the difference is about $4000 before taxes & fees - nothing definate found on internet yet only you tube, thankyou everyone for time.

1000 might be possible on the highway. We typically do 650-700km to a tank.

You get more features with the Skyactiv models...

Dealers will also talk about a full tank of gas driven only on the highway. If so, you should be able to get 1000.

On a straight level road with no stops, driving just fast enough to stay in high gear, maybe...

I got to 832 km on 46.4L/12gal, so if I got to empty, I could've done 965 km. this was in a car with three adults, two toddlers, full of luggage, and on winter tires, averaging 105 km/h.

Summertime, sans mother in law, I'm aiming for 4.7 L/100km.
