2011 speed3, will 245/40/18 tires fit on stock?

Hello there,

I found a really good deal on some Nokian Snow tires..problem is their wide..really wide. Stock tires are 225/40/18 and these nokians were takin off a evo and they are 245/40/18

I was wondering (i think thats like 9.6" or so) not positive if someone can correct me! If they would fit on my stock rims? I dont really want rubbing and I have no way to check besides the stock specs if anyone has thought about it or recommend otherwise? These are a steal if i can take them I just dont know sizing!

If you are on a stock suspension the tire will rub against the shocks. The offset is out enough to take a 245.

I wouldn't recommend it, I have 235s with 48 offset rim and I have less then 1/4" to my shock, you would need a 35 offset to be safe at front without lowering the car

I'm running 275/35s on 18x9s with a 45 offset. Minor rubbing only on full steering input to the left. And a slight rub issue on passenger rear fender liner...my fix was to remove the affected fender liners. On stock suspension.

What tires do YOU LIKE using on your Speed3? I'm looking to get 235/40/18 in the near future. My stock tires are about to hit 12k miles and are almost gone.

Suggestions please?

Continental Extreme DW tires

Well, it looks like I will be ordering the Wider, P235/40 R18, Continental Extreme DW tires in the near future. I've had several friends saying I should get these. My friends are in the Porsche Club, here in Deep South Texas, and Corvette Club. They have all advised me with HE** NO to getting Goodyear Eagle GT or anything else.

Do you folks use the Continentals?

The only Continentals I've run on my 3 are a set of Grand-Am race tires...I run those for trips to the mountains and the track. I don't have much info on their street tires though...except I think the Generals I run are made by Continental.
