Hey was just curious if anyone else had this issue or knows what the issue could be.

This so far only happens when shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear (high revs/quick take off)

....while im shifting, even though my clutch pedal is all the way down, as im putting it into 2nd i get a gear-grinding sound; and it sound/feels like a terrible shift, not smooth at all (remember clutch pedal all the way down before i even take out of 1st gear....revving at abouot 4500-5000rpm)

i know this sounds quite noobie, but i have been driving manual for a couple of years now, just wondering

You hauling ass in the process and ripping into second gear, or just naturally shifting closer to redline? Just wondering, seen this problem a few times with customers thinking they own a race car. From what I've seen, the synchros/trans can't keep up with that gear change. Rather it be everything doesn't have time to align properly or what, I'm not sure. Most of the time we don't get approval for tear down, just replacement. Take it to your dealer and tell them the whole story, and see what they say. Good luck to you.

Sure its not a race car but they cant tell you not to rev it to 4k before shifting. Something is wrong with the transmission if it cant make a gear change at 4k. From what he is saying he is not trying to shift it fast.

I wasn't stating what and what not the dealer can tell you. I simply recommended taking it to a dealer, I speak my mind to what most dealers won't mention. Mileage wasn't stated, driving habits or if he was the previous owner. For all we know, the car has been driven hard all its life, and is now showing its age, even for it being a year old I've seen some real damage. Or it might just be an internal failure, it does happen and I've seen that as well. Some more info would help, if it still has a warranty, I say let the dealer "deal" with it :) Not familiar with the Montreal area though...
