2010 mazdaspeed exhaust on 2009?

Does the OP realise that putting the 2010 exhaust on the 2009 will do nothing for performance and would only be for looks??

You do realise that the 2010 system is not a true dual exhaust?

Not true. A boxer 4 can have a true dual exhaust but there are few of those around.

What you meant to say was that an inline 4 can't have a true dual exhaust.

Regardless, a ricer has no clue that an inline 4 can't have a true dual exhaust.

also not true. you could have 2 separate 2-port headers coming from your engine going out 2 separate pipes and therefore would be a true dual exhaust from an inline 4, but that's besides the point of this thread


to the OP by the time you finish the customization of putting a 2nd gen dual exhaust tip on your 1st gen you may as well have done everything customized from the start. and it wouldn't be a matter of piping, it would be an issue of how the bumper would be fixed up to allow for 2 outlets instead of just the one on the driver's side

didn't say it would be worth it, just saying that it's not impossible to have dual exhaust on a 4 cyl.

besides, if you're the one doing all the fabrication for your own vehicle nothing is retarded. just go over to the thread about the guy who took scrap titanium and made a shifter weight
 
wtf does it matter guys- if you REALLY wanted to you could do a quad exhaust on an NA inline 4 and have each cyl with its own header/exhaust/tip. Its just a waste of time money and resources. OP if you want you can put a 2010 CBE on your car but it aint gonna be a bolt on, theres no power gain, and your rear bumper will be cut out to fit it somehow. Now go do it and post pics for us to laugh
