Sorry for being long winded
We have a 2009 Mazda 3 with the 2.0 for our daughter. The other week she said it acted like the transmission was acting up, going out of gear kinda going into limp mode. Took it to a local repair shop they said take it to a transmission shop. Took it to the transmission shop and they said they drove it for over an hour and it done fine. He told me it could be the TCM but he didn’t mess with them anymore because it had got hard to find them. So done some research and watched videos of where it is located, under the battery box. So took that off and it wasn’t there. So done more research and seen on the 2.0 is tied into the ECM, PCM. Then today it just turned off on her at a stop sign I got it started up and home. Has anyone else had this problem? I have ordered an ECM , PCM do I have to get the keys programmed after changing? Thanks for any help
