2008 Mazda 5 Spy Shots

I have to say that I'm not feeling those wheels...I definitely hope those aren't on the commercial release because they won't help boost the sales...

I kinda like these wheels....They are very aggressive looking and seem to be similar to those from the Euro Focus ST.

I agree those rims sucked on the M3 and M3Sport had a lot of customers asking for the previous year rims before purchase.....

I was feeling kind of bad not waiting to have the 5AT but now after seeing the design on the 08 model, I'm glad I bought the 07 GT. The wheels are not to my liking and I like the box-square front grille as oppose to the new look. It does look like the 17" tires are wider than 205's though. Does the rear bumper look like it sticks out further ?

I like the new front end. Hopefully it will be full body color and not look like a black stickon. I prefer the old one but to get a 5sp auto I'll deal with the front end. :)

I don't think they changed the rear portion of the car.

I see we'll still have rear tire wear issues...

Maybe it's just me but I don't see the difference in the old headlights and the new.

The new design has lost some of its' "edge". It seems more rounded and I hate to say "bloated". I am not a fan of the new wheels either, I prefer the straight forward five spokes that we have, uncluttered, purposeful. I would love to have the rear AC ducts and the passenger armrest, but I am glad I picked up my 5mt 06.

The rear end looks a little too "Kia" to me. And by that, it looks like a cheaper car than it actually is.

Looks like very little cosmetic change to me. I like the new wheels and LED bulbs are definitely superior but the rest is so slight that I wouldn't care either way.

looks like they turned the front lines up towards the roof line angle a bit - makes the hood look a bit less "nosey" - just visual tricks but should fit the "sportier" claim. definitely just a "refresh" - but I'd go for it on the passenger armrest alone

I can't say that I'm ecstatic about the new nose, or the wheels (prefer the '07 in both regards).

Having said that, our reasoning for holding out on the '08 is for the 5AT, rear A/C and black leather (not Espresso (blarf)).

We took the 4AT out for a test drive, and we just felt that it needed a 5th gear when driving at speed, if that makes any sense. The MT isn't an option for us, as we are particularly lazy ;).

The rear A/C is due to the fact that we would like to get some through venting into the 3rd row seating.

Leather is a must for us. We have it on our S40 and it came in handy in the past when SparkyBhoy Jnr decided to launch his almost empty bottle of milk at us one day (wiped up nice and easy). With SparkyBhoy Jnr#2 due at any time, then the chances of history repeating itself are pretty high - so I ain't taking any chances.

Might ask the dealership to swap those wheels though....
