Okay, I want to focus on finding a muffler for my 2008 Mazda 3s GT Hatchback. I want to find a muffler that will continue to make a nice, deep and clean sounding exhaust on my car. I do not plan on keeping my Mazda for over a year more. Since it has a CAI, I want to make the car breath clear all the way though.

What would you recomend?

The only other thing I wish to add to my vehicle is the Mazda3 Complete Pulley Set:

Part Number M3-14166-2.0L Automatic

Since my Mazda has an auto trans, I know pulleys work very well.

Please let me know who has a very nice and deep sounding muffler available for a NON-TURBO Mazda 3s with a 2.3L engine.

Thanks

The problem that I have found with exhaust is that the videos like the ones on youtube are always of the people just reving the engine. That is never going to give the true sound of the exhaust, they will all sound different under load and when shifting and truth be told loud exhaust on a car with an automatic sounds terrible IMO. Sorry I realize this post is mostly just my opinion but you have to understand exhaust sound is a personal thing plain and simple. Trial and error I guess. I am thinking of straight pipe from the cat to a stock muffler on my 2.3 auto.

I just want something nice (sounding) to help the air flow through the car with the Injin CAI and flash already there. I might also get some pulleys since mine has an automatic trans.

correct. They will get my lil 2.3L going a lil more quicker. LOL Just need an exhaust.

I traded in the '08 GT Hatch almost a year ago. I bought a new '11 Speed3. I was tired of driving an automatic and wanted more power. lol I'm still not done adding power to the Speed3. I will have a new fuel pump arriving soon. Once one, I will take it up to San Antonio and have it tuned. Right now, it has 271HP to the front tires. I think it will hit 300 when the next 2 additions as added.
