2008 Mazda 3 s Tire HELP

Looking to replace the stock tires (crappy Goodyear rsa's) on my 08 mazda 3 s before the winter months. Very interested about the great reviews of the hankook optimo h727's. However, they dont come in my exact size. Could i still make them work? Also, any other insight on some other affordable, good all season tires (17 in)?

Current size: P205/50R17

Hankook Optimo H727: 215/60R17 or 225/55R17

Thanks for the help!!

I had hankooks on my mazda5 when the stocks ran out (same tire size as 3), they had a really aggressive tread pattern and after about 30k miles the tread still looked great but the tire compound itself was cracking like it was 10 years old (believe it was a 60 or 70k mile tire) I traded the car in for another 3 before I could tell you the end result of hankook. Honestly wet takeoff traction wasnt great.

I also have had kumho ecsta (i think they are called) on my 3S and they were fine in the winter as well, they were cheap and well made.

Ive got mastercrafts on now and they seem to be very good in wet traction and decent for performance (no side roll on autocrossing).

For tires, so many tire places will match any tire price you find, so it kind of makes tirerack a tough choice, so use tirerack to find the tire you want then go to your local tire place and haggle with them.

Good luck.

The two sizes you listed are much too tall for your car and wouldn't work well. If you can't stick to OEM size, look for 215/50/17 or 215/45/17.
