2008 CX-9 with 2010 Bose?

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie here who just bought a 2008 CX-9 GT today.
It has Bose audio without Navigation.
It can't play MP3 CDs...

I found a place selling a used 2010 Bose Head Unit that says "6 CD Changer" and has the MP3 logo on it (mine doesn't).

My question is, can I swap out my 2008 Bose HU with a 2010 HU?
Anyone try something like this yet to get MP3 CD's to work?
