The solstice is about 200 lbs lighter, so they're not the exact same.

Impressive that 'we' got 3 of the top 4 spots tho :)

^Because it's 'affordable'. Woot for Mazda and the RX-8! Although I really don't understand why all these negative comments on, "Rotary engine requires constant maintenance and care". I think this is blown out and is simply perpetual negativity and not derived from true ownership. I've owned my 8 for almost a year and other than regular oil chages (3K miles) and little additional oil added in between, I've had to do absolutly nothing else. I don't see how this would make for being a big bullet point on a "CON" list.

Nah, I love them both. In fact I almost purchased a Miata, but I needed rear seats.

Fair enough. I've driven the RX8 in anger before, and it's a helluva fun car. And if you think of it a little bass ackwards style, it basically is a slightly longer miata with a roof and a different engine, what with the new MX5 borrowing a shortened RX8 chassis. Your RX8 and my miata are like 3rd cousins once removed or some junk like that haha

Ok, I can see maybe putting it on the list, but ahead of other cars...that come with wheels and everything?!?!

I have to go with Tinman here. This is one car that didn't even come close to living up to the hype. Mybe if it was on the bottom of the list. But I woulndn't put it on top of the GM's.

And for the RX8-V-MX5, I would buy the RX8 before ever getting the MX5 because it's bigger and more room. And I think the MX5 is a girl car.(321fu)

No debates here. Mazda just rules! They clearly have the affordable sport car market nailed. Kudos to Mazda once again.

well the MS3 is there yes 43 doors (the RX8 techniccaly has 4 doors and rear seats.
Thought a sports car was RWD, 2 seater 2 door.

the speed 3 i think works with the tittle Sport car, its sportier than a stock Mazda3.
