totally new DOHC aluminum engines; why stick with supercharging when a turbo is more efficient? the SC does add a bit of unique character to the present MCS (and certainly a lot of current MCS owners will hold onto them b/c of it), but the turbo engine will probably be a big step up.

i've heard that the standard suspension is going to be a little softer than current, but the Sport suspension will be a little harder than the current Sport. also, weight loss FTW!

The Current Sport suspension with the 17" rims and run flat tires with jar your teeth out.

Oh well I love the mini. I almost bought one instead of the MSP. I would have bought one if I could have found an "S" in new orleans for a decent price. They are pretty rare around here. Oh well, I love the protege more and more everyday.

Minis are rare in a Big City? Where I live, you have to go to Boston to buy a Mini new because thats where the only you mini dealers are localed. I see Minis all over the place. All the car dealers try to carry used minis. I can up to the Maine and Canadian border and see coopers. There everywhere.

The closest mini dealer was a 2 hour drive away. I don't know if that was due to the hurricane that they are so hard to find or what but none the less there were pretty slim pickens and i think that I made the right choice with my MSP. More space, cheaper insurance, cheaper price, more rare, great community, and still very fun to drive. I don't know the potential of the mini block but I'm overall satisfied. If someone offered me the exact mini I was looking for with decent miles for a straight trade I would probably have to trade though, just because i have always wanted on for some reason.

that monstrosity in the dash is still enough to keep me away from it... what a shame. Someone needs to come up with a nice aftermarket solution to that. Seriously the rest of the car is VERY nice... but that speedo.... ugghhh!
