(usa) First of all, this is all USDM info. "GT" refers to the all new trim with leather and HID's.
(canada) Canadians can still pull details of the pricing trend for their own loonies and toonies
Kelley Blue Book has published 2007 Mazda5 pricing... including for the GT trim. Good news, it's not very different, if at all. There's a wierd thing with the features though. For 2006, it did note the $200 charge for Whitewater Pearl but not pricing for SIRIUS radio. For 2007 it did NOT list any charge for Whitewater Pearl, but now it does list SIRIUS radio. For comparison's sake, I'll leave SIRIUS Radio and Whitewater Pearl out of the equation. Here's what pricing is for my configuration.
2006 Mazda5 Touring
5MT
DVD Entertainment
$20,710
2007 Mazda5 Touring
5MT
DVD Entertainment
$20,910
SO, in the end, it went up $200, not bad. However, if you DO add the Whitewater Pearl charge to the 2006, that brings the 2006 to the EXACT same amount of $20,910 anyways. So one could say they just jump the price up for every model and deleted the extra charge for Whitewater Pearl? OR, perhaps more likely, KBB.com neglected to include the extra Whitewater Pearl charge in their calculation for 2007, prices jumped $200 accross the board and there'll still be an extra Whitewater Pearl charge for me anyways (even though KBB didn't show that.)
BOTTOM LINE: Prices are pretty damn close to 2006, so no sticker shock
PS - What you all probably want to know, GT pricing. 2007 Mazda5 GT pricing starts at $21,860. BAD NEWS possibly about the GT trim... according to KBB.com it will only be available in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION!** Also, they only have Whitewater Pearl, True Silver, Galaxy Gray, and Brilliant Black listed for colors. Sorry folks! (I'm glad I ordered a Touring now!)
All prices are MSRP with Destination included.
**DISCLAIMER: KBB.com is know to occasionally goof up with their info. Unfortunately I doubt it in this situation as they consider the selection of a transmission as a 'Trim' choice, not an 'Option' choice... but just stay tuned until MazdaUSA releases more info or just call your dealer I guess.
