No, outside of the US any car with 4stud hubs has the FP-DE 1.8L engine (same as the FS-DE but with 7mm less stroke). That's the easiest way to tell.
I don't mind it all actually, it has a bit of an MPS 3 or 6 front bar about it. I would prefer it to have been based on the BJ2 facelifted frontend though...

Yeah, they're definitely still selling them 323's in China. As far as I know, there's still no Mazda3 there, though there is a very nice looking Mazda6.
