Just like to know when (~month) will the 2005 Mazda 6 be at dealers showrooms?

If you follow previous year releasing...Sometime in Q4 2004. So sept-oct.

They go into production in August, so late September/early October they should hit the dealers.

Will the price be pretty much the same or will there be a small price increase?

Price is always higher for the new cars...best time to buy a 04 is when the 05's come out .

There isn't any substaintal differences between the 04's and 05's...just package differences, and a better choice of automatics for the 6 cylinder.

There is however a weight increase...so if your looking for raw performance, technically an 04 is faster then an 05, due to the 70 lbs less bloat on some models.

I've read on this board, that the 2005 Mazda 6 will be using a automatic transmission from FORD. Isn't that a bad thing, since FORD has had a history of transmission problems?

the 6 speed is V6 only...and find the topic about it here or 6tech to see what all they put that tranny thru! I'd still throw a cooler on just in case...

I don't think it's a bad thing. Who cares, the car is made of mixed Ford/Mazda parts anyways.

Yesterday I was checking my oil and I noticed that "Ford Mortor Co." is engraved into the dipstick...hehe.
