2004 Saleen Focus W/ Nos!!!!!

just my opinion... that brings the Saleen name down in reputation a bit...

i had no clue they dealt wit hthe Focus

Any Focus is a piece of s***!!The best thing to come out of Salleen is the S7.

i almost bought a saleen about 4 years ago or so and it was a S281, not the big S351.

i was very disappointed becuase if i remember correctly the S281 was not much better (if at all) than a stock mustang GT horsepower wise...

now the S351 is alot better but i also think a stock SVT cobra has more grunt than the S351

A friend of a friend had a supercharged S281 with a built motor and chrome Saleen rims.. now THAT was a sharp car!

So I wanted to reserect(sp) this thread cause I saw this crazy looking car, and I thought it was kinda cool.

Now bear with me. Go here http://www.saleen.com/n2o_focus_performance.htm and look at the slalom time for the Saleen Focus. Now go to the other Saleen cars performance section and compair the slalom times. Very impressive cornering ability.

Seems like a fast time no?

But this is what I'm saying....did you compair the slalom times....I mean they did something to a focus to handle like that.

I also heard (which I'm trying to comfirm) if you fill the bottle and hook up the NOS it voids your warenty(sp)......

Dude are you kidding me. I have to talk to Saleen or a Ford dealer about this. They would actually install this in your car and if you use it, it voids your warr. So absolutly ******* stupid.

but if u think about it, who in their right mind would worrannty a motor that shoots nitrous all the time.
dude if that was the case i'd have it wet running 100% of the time.

I'm thinking there could be a way to buy another bottle fill IT and use IT. If you have trouble then you put the empty bottle back in the car and go to the dealer....not sure.

I think this car could have some potential.

well yeah, i mean only at WOT.....but all the time .
the focus is set up for dry shot, but i would rig it up to use wet. that's ofcourse if it was covered by warrenty.

i've never ran nitrous in any of my cars, so i dont know, but is it possible to see if nitrous have been present by examining the inside of the engine?

also, does saleen focus use the same block and head as SVT?
i know that the rods are forged in SVT.

....and I haven't heard back from Saleen or the closest Saleen dealer near me. It's in Mass. Herb Chambers.
