I have a mysterious hose under the hood of my 2003 P5 with 2.0L and 5spd.
It was found by accident. One end was tucked (not connected to anything) between the inner part of the drivers side fender and the bracket that supports the fuse box. When I trace it back it goes to a valve that has some electrical wires plugged into it and there are two other similar sized (all 1/2" approx) hoses running from it. One goes to what looks like the back end on the coolant neck and the other runs to the intake somewhere.
When I blew air into it you could hear it going blowing through at its originating connection.
When the engine is running at idle and revved up there is no suction on it.
Anyone know why there would be a 16"-20", 1/2" vacuum line running to nowhere?
BTW, the car runs fine and everything works as it should .
