So ive been deciding on whether to just put a FS-DE back into the msp but from everything i can gather its rather junk and was wanting to know what are all the parts required and what can i use still to swap a kl with manual trans into the msp. A build thread with parts would be great so i can way out the pros and cons

If you want to keep your AC and all amenities it is much easier to drop in another FSDE with forged internals. There is a ridiculous amount of work involved in swapping in a KL and you still have to run a standalone or a dual ECU setup. Only parts that make the FS motor 'junk' are the weak rods/pistons, with a forged motor you can make more power than a KL.

Questions to ask someone who has done the swap are 1. was it on your daily driver? 2. how long did it take to be 100% finished with the swap from start to finish? Then you can decide if you can spend that much time swapping the KL. I'm not even going to mention how much more expensive it would be to go to a KL.

If you really want to go kl join probetalk you can usually find part outs and used parts there. I've done a fs-de to kl in a probe I was told it would be cheaper to just buy a gt. I sourced a parts car off of probetalk for 300 bucks with the motor already pulled. I also boughtanother kl for my mx-3 swap for 200. But like some previous posters said how much time do you have?
