I am selling my 2003 Mazda Protege 5 wagon/hatchback. It has a clean Carfax with no accidents (link below) and 113,603 miles. I have owned it for a year now and experienced no mechanical issues. I replaced the brakes, all 4 spark plugs, air filter, and cleaned the EGR/MAF/throttle-body and fuel system. I drove the car to Fort Myers Florida and back last spring and it performed flawlessly.
Other than an automatic transmission, the car has every known option available (power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power sunroof, etc.). The 5-speed transmission shifts great, and the clutch shows no signs of being weak or needing to be replaced. It has a premium audio system with a 100W subwoofer/amp that sits in the spare tire. The factory speakers and speaker wire have been upgraded. The factory rims have been replaced with 17" black aftermarket wheels/tires.
The car runs and drives great, I get about 22-24 mpg in town and around 27-30mpg on the highway. It doesn't burn oil and doesn't leak any fluids. The car does have some rust, but the paint is in good shape overall. I blacked out the bottom of the rear bumper, as well as the front grille with black plasti-dip.
I got a new job a few months ago with a long daily commute that takes me through quite a bit of traffic. Stick shift in traffic gets to be a pain after a while so I got a different car with an automatic trans.
