2003.5 msp power problems

oh, I just missed him saying anything about how much he was boosting, I could understand how someone would come to conclusion of a wga problem if he had mentioned boost (which I guess he did, I just didn't see), and I mean if his vac isn't holding at around 20hg and he is overboosting or not even boosting enough or at all, (like my old one, like yours RIP lol, when my wga failed I couldn't boost over 2-3psi or so at first, then it got worse and I couldn't hold vac. which lead me to the wga) but just the jerking around those rpms w/o boost seems like fuel cut more than anything, I was just curious how people came up with wga as first thing.. there not that expensive.. but not cheap by any means either.

well this is my first turbo car so i don' no how to really drive it i think. i was talking to a few people and they were saying it could just be the way the turbo is set up. that it finishes spooling before the red line. and someone else was saying that the problem was my foot, you have to let on the fuel slowly to let the turbo kinda spool before you giver. im going out today to see about the ss afc and i will look into getting a new wga. thank you all for the input it helps a lot.

just a little input, generally you don't have to slowly give it gas, im sure you drive it fine, generally you just don't want to slam on the gas all the way before 2.5-3k rpm but after that it's free game.. do you have a boost guage?.. if you don't have that (really sorry if I keep missing if you posted it before) but I would get one of those first thing, and a wideband would be a really good investment too, but boost gauge is #1.. I would personally find out what your boost/vac is first before getting a new wga, at least an ss afc is a mod no matter what is wrong

oh so you are spiking? I would assume that when you really gas it, it would spike to 9psi, and maybe lower, instead of the other way around.. but... it's stock wga? in that case than ya get a new wga, I personally have heard that the forged wga has been causing problems for some people lately (maybe that was the forged bpv, don't remember) but I know atp is good, but ya if you are spiking or even loosing that much boost than I would go for a new wga anyways, even with the fuel cut which I would say is the jerking but the differences in psi would be more wga..
