C'mon guys - put them on! I took the last two nights off from this project. My wife and 3 girls need to see their Daddy (not just from the door to the garage). I'm at a standstill currently. I need (1) stock mesh covering (I accidentally threw mine out in the beginning). I need to work with that and the current plate to eliminate the gaps. Can one of you guys send it off to me (I'll return it ASAP!)?

- Brian

I would if I had it in my possesion. (moon) j/k, my original plan was to get it installed today. I'm crossing my fingers that it is sitting on my porch when I get home from work. (rockon)

zmzmp5, check your pm im willing to help out,

Everyone - thanks to Tyrant, he was able to push this process along again by helping me out with a scan of the outer mesh cover.

With my digital imagery, patience, help from a few co-workers, and my skillz, I have been able to get the outline of the plate in my CAD program to scale. We're talking NO GAPS and squeeze it in until it fits!

I have about an hour or two left in my CAD program until completion.

I'll update everyone accordingly.

- Brian

FYI - I can place the current GEN II layer and the new GENIII layer on top of each other and look at a digital picture I took and you can see the difference of gaps and now NO GAP.

So dude you will send us the NO GAP plate?

I was going to install these tomorrow at 10am....? Should I wait? (hippy)

Nice work Brian!!! (band2)

(cad drawings/scale pictures are perfectly smooth)

I need to save up some $$$ now so I can put in an order of this new plate (will be thicker 14 or 12 gauge instead of the 16 gauge now).

Once I order the new plates II-Savy, Kev, and Swimming Weasel will all get them for free, leaving me 7 sets left to sell.

Ill order a set of the driving lights w/halos in 8 to 15 days.......thats when my income tax check will be in. So have a set ready! :) By the way, this may have already been mentioned, but im at work and cant spend much time scrolling through the pages, but what are the 7 colors that the lights have? Thanx

Got the Package at last!!!

(birthday) Well thanks to an ignorant postman, I had to friggin drive the post office to pick up my box today. He lost the slip. (drunk) I have to say I am very impressed with the packaging Brian. Top-notch. I have ordered alot of things via the internet in my day and none (with the exception of DaveB) were even close to this quality. Everything seperated and clearly labeled. Very Nice!!!! I will wait for the plates from you to install as I only have time to do this one time. Its friggin cold in the garage these days. Thanks again for your professionalism and support of your customers. You are (first).

I know, brian spends alot of time on packaging. he doesn't like to make any mistakes :) he deserves appaluses

Kev - install the lights.

The GENIII plates are NOT going to be used with the PL-362W. They are only going to be used for 4" and down size lights. We are going to retain the current design for the 5" and larger as the brackets are longer than what I am building into this plate.

See 7-8 threads up for newly revised picture. I went back and forth to my car until perfection with printouts glued to cardboard cut until it was a "perfect" fit with NO PLAY and NO GAP.

Good enough then, I will try to get them installed next monday.

P.S. what is this little connector rig with the small battery on it?

The connector rig with the battery, go to the end of the ribbon cable and press it - it will illuminate the ring (display and packaging purposes). Remove when installing onto the car.
