2002 mazda protege car will die doing down the road but will start right back up,,what could be the problem

check the intak mani for vacuum leaks, it could be that, the EGR, the PCV or a leaky/bad fuel injector

ive had a first hand experience lol

also check your intake boot, if the weather is cold you might be having a mixture problem which is very popular on the Protege. Its any easy fix and any good mechanic can tell you by just plugging in the computer and driving the car to watch the fuel loads.
