I don't know what he has done to his car, but I beat my best friend in his 01 Civic EX with just my intake (before I got my exhaust and other crap). He has DC headers, catalytic conv, Skunk2 exhaust, AEM intake, UR pulleys. He does have 17" wheels where mine are still the factory 16s so that did take a bit away from him.
my wife has a 2k1 ex sedan with auto...she has an aem intake and 15" rota c8s with dunlop sp5000s and i had the ractive intake stock 16" wheels with the stock dunlop sp5000s...off the line i'd get half a car length then she'd catch up and pull on me...by the time we'd be doing 60 she'd have 2 car lengths!
you have to take into account that our car is some 2800lbs and the civic ex sedans are 2600lbs...also the stock civic engine loves to rev (i like my pr5 and all but you might as well shift at 5000rpms and not go near redline)...now with a t3 turbo i don't have to worry anymore

One hell of a time last night, lots of interseting moments. A viper went into the wall when he spun 3rd gear, ouchhhhhhhhhhh.
Anyways, my pr5 was the fastest overall.
Thats cool, i raced my friend's EX too, i beat him off the line, then he started pulling on my, then a turn in the road came up, and i totally beat him... btw, you are talking about the 1/8 mile right? no way your car ran a 10 in the 1/4.
i think you're missing it...he's saying that if it was the 1/4 mile that he pulled a 10.95 on instead of pulling a 10.95 on the 1/8mi...he would have the fastest p5...which i might agree on...a 10 sec p5 would be pretty cool...
I drive a 2k1 civic ex and i beat my friends mp3 by a hair before we shut down, he had a bad launch though so that probably did him in. His only mod is an intake
