2003 Mazda Protege 5
Alright, I was just looking around and was wondering if the 2001 Mazda Astina tail lights will fit on the P5. I searched but couldn't come up with anything. I've never heard of the Mazda Astina until tonight but it seems like the tail lights could fit the P5. Thanks in advance. :)

The 323 Astina is a P5. They are like the JDM ones, iirc. I think there is one less bulb, butI am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong.

Other than the alteeza style lights, the only other tailights I've seen are the jdm tails. Is that what you're talking about?

Well I was looking at some Altezza style tails that I really like and haven't seen for the P5. They were labeled as being for a Mazda Astina but they looked like they would fit the P5. The color is black chrome, and not carbon fiber or gun metal like the other tail lights you see for the P5. Let me get a pic...

Alright, here's a picture of the tail lights on my truck. They're Elegante by TYC. I like how they're simply all black. I'd like to find something like this for the P5 but I'm having a pretty hard time.

astina = protege5. i sold some tails to someone a while ago. straight bolt up, but the wiring harness is slightly different. i've heard of some guys glueing or something the lights into the assembly

93 or 94 pickup? I have a 94 just like that but still have the rear bumper.

You could get some chrome ones and disassemble them and paint the inside black. Kind of like the how to on here for the headlights.

You can't though, because taillights are always plastic welded. I reason that it's because they are a more critical safety item so they don't want people messing with them.

Gunmetal Tails on red

this is what mine look like.

1991 with only 90,000 miles. The bumper is off because I have steel roll pan that was supposed to be welded in before winter but I never had a chance to do it. It's a great truck :)

well i got mine on ebay about 3 months ago for around $100 shipped, however, they may not fit perfectly as they'd leave a slight gap. I had to go to a body shop to have them push the frames a little bit to the inside for the altezzza lights to fit perfectly, and I gotta say it's all worth it, they look great!
