2000 Dx Build

So i bought this baby from my best friends mom for 800bux
2000 Protege Dx
had 151000 miles on it
5spd
tan

first thing i did was take a custom grill i had for my old explorer and mod it to fit

then blacked out the badges

repainted the steelies

Then the good stuff

upgraded the sound system - all near speaker wire, nothing stock
Panasonic head unit
Power Acoustik Eq
Polk Audio Db6501 Components in all 4 doors
runnin off a Crunch 900watt 4ch amp
2 12in Kenwood Kcf-3011
runnin off a Power Acoustik 1600watt mono amp
and 1 P.a. Speaker mounted by the tranny
u can hear me comin from blocks away

Bought some Bmw bottle caps from a friend for 50bux and repainted em

test look lol

put em on her

little photo shoot

thats it fer this minute...
i plan on lowering it
tinting the window
debadging
possibly shaving some things
yakima roof rack
yes i actually bike lol its not just for looks
wheel spacers
maybe a lip kit
changing some things in the sound system
and repainting it...
blue
or white, not sure yet

any opinions are welcome =]
also and tips on good sites to get stuff are awsome lol

I really like the direction you are going.
Very nice mod. on that grille,i will probably have moved the mazda badge to the right or left and maybe painted red,but that is because i am having my car with red accents.

I believe the sideskirts,front bumper and black housing headlights made the most "updated" appearence on my car.
I like that we all shearing ideas and help eachother here in the forum.

Idk if I wanna do a spoiler, I kinda like it without it
But I plan on swaping the healights and adding fog lights
Since I gotta repaint the grill anyway ill move the mazda over n take new pix

i agree with the spoiler idea. i wish i could find one for mine! they're sooooo fawsome looking. i have the factory spoiler and there's a girl with a msp orange near where i live and i told her ima steal her spoiler....she looked at me funny and...boosted away...b****. lol

That's an awesome price you got the car for! it's really clean for that little money, personally I would've gone black or bronze on the wheels, I had white wheels on an old civic I had and they would get so dirty so quick, that I had to contantly wipe them to keep them as clean as the car, but it looks nice, you should get some 50s tires and definitely drop it. Enjoy.

Lol yeah its annoying how the steering wheel is crumbling apart...
And as for the rims, found out one is bent, so I'm back on steelies, looking to get sumthin 5 or 7 spoke

and puttin in dvd player, 2 headrest monitors and one monitor in the passenger dash

Also bad news... bmw rims got stolen.... lol filed a police report, I think my girlfriends crack head unle I the onw who took em...

Good news, I'm gettin windows tinted Monday, and ima start fiberglassing in the 5.6in monitor on the passenger side dash
I'm puttin it on the a.c. cover panel right above the glove box
Which I.m.o. is a b**** to take off lol, screws are hard to get to
But! I will b takin pix as I go so more coming soon =]
