i need the 2 part dash kit made for the p5.. its like the part that holds the deck and then a seperate pocket that holds 3 cds or some s***.. does anyone know where i can get this online because all the car audio places up here a ******* useless and even tho i went in with part numbers they gave me a dash kit for a 94 protege. -=\
a link would be nice.. i need this so i can get my friggin gauges installed because black plexiglass + skil saw = melted black plastic with chips in it. -=\
thanks a million guys..
BTW.. i did search.. found the part numbers.. but i cant find it online.. so before you reply with search.. remove your head from your ass and read the whole thread. -=)
Thank you
John

Are you looking for the mazda OEM peices?
THey are only available at dealerships.

yeah.. i already got whats left and cut a awesome mount for my apexi meter.. ill be sure to post pics once i figure out how to wire it.
no 1st. .its a aftermarket kit.. and it has 2 part numbers..
2002-UP P5
Metra: 88-00-9000 or 98-7599
does that mean either one of those is the pocket and the the deck just kinda floats around in there with nothing around it?
see i got a single din gauge mount that holds 3 gauges.. but i need something that fits around the deck and makes it stay snug. -=)

THey are universal pockets, wel the 98 is a mazda specific but techinicaly for th elast generation of cars, like a 96 MX-6 that had all single din openings.

Either way you will need to get them to sti tight in th edash and thenmount the radios cage using the metal tabs to lock everything in place. The pocket should be large enough to take up all the unused space by the radio so everything stays in the dash well.

So long as you can get the pocket to support itself in the dash and not be able to be pulled out easily.
