I was wondering what you guys are doing when hitting a 2.2 I have only done a 2.355 and no better how are you guys launching with stock wheels and tires and what psi thanks

25 psi in the front, 45 in the rear. Rev to 4000 rpms, ease off the clutch and ease onto the gas.

whats the smallest rims you can put on a MSP? big rims with skinny ass tires dont help.... i would THINK if you could put like a 15x8 rim on with some fatter tires to reduce some "bounce" it would help alot... i know alot of people with 17x8, 18x8 rims on GP's that slow down alot in the 1/4 and 60's are like .3 + slower... i myself, will be going from stock 16x6.5 rims and getting a set of 15x8 rims from a mustang to use... i borrowed a set with DR's and only launched at 1700RPM and got on it after a few feet with no burnout what so ever to warm them up and got a 1.995.. but i have a auto and just a totally different car... just ideas... i want to see the guy i work with pull 2.0x 60's in his MSP without slicks if possible.. just some "Drag day" rims and decent tires...

13's won't clear the brakes...you need at least 15" wheels on an MSP.

The brakes are larger than the regular Protege.

i pulled a 2.1 60 ft with stock tires at 30psi....lauching at 1500-2000rpms....gotta be sure not to let the rpms go higher than 2000 and drop the clutch my car hops a couple of times and then just starts pulling

You just dumped the clutch, and got an excellent 60'? Was it a fluke occurence or can you do it consistently this way?
