1999 Protege Headlights

I just sold my 03 MP5 and purchased a 99 Protege in order to save some money. I liked the way my headlights looked on my MP5 and want to know if the 2001-2003 headlights fit on a 1999? Also, are the body parts interchangeable, meaning the front and back bumpers? Also, are the taillights the same from 99-00 to 01-03, what about mazdaspeed? Thanks.

taillights = yes

headlights = no

front bumper = no

rear bumper = yes

front fenders = dont think so

rest of the body should be fine for interchanging

mazdaspeed, pretty much the same as 2001-2003 body parts..

with enough work all the parts will inter change, however not doing much for body work, headlights wont fit. You can in theory have that front end if you want to change the radiator support, headlights, bumper absorber, bumper cover, grille, fenders, and hood.

Thanks for the info. I have another question. After doing a bit of research it looks like they still use the same style headlights from the 99-00 protege on the Mazda Genki. Is it possible to get your hands on some of those headlights/bumpers?

Or, alternately, what is a good aftermarket set for the 99-00's, I really like the OEM quality. If there is a very good quality aftermarket set I would be willing to go that route. I just like the look of the 01-03 (darker bezels, clear turn-signals, etc.)

You should go with the SPORT20 bumper. it looks nice and I definitely love it. as for the headlights you can just paint the inside yourself to save some money.

Thanks for the replies. One more question. How do I make clear corners? Is there a guide, does it look stock when it's done? Also, I have a cracked tail light and have been scoping out ebay for a cheap replacement when I came across this. Does anyone have any exerience with these? Are they good quality? Do they look stock when installed? Thanks for the help guys.

i think the tail lights are nice but IMO about the clear corners. I don't like them at all.

yeah the tail lights are nice.. no doubt bout that.. the corner lights.. YEAH you have to def. Buy them.. i have a question off topic.. are the mp3 sideskirts worth 125 dollars? found sum online, but was wanting to know if they're worth it?

i bought mine sideskirts for more than 200 so i would say that 125 isn't bad at all. haha... just make sure they come with all the little pieces for the middle part of the sideskirts. i had to drill into my car in order to keep the sideskirt from hanging.
