Nice car.
Unfortunately, there's no demand for our cars. The best thing for you to do is to put everything back to stock, clean it up very well and put it on Ebay.
Every once in awhile, a stock Protege with low miles will get a good bid.
I'm thinking about selling mine, and I won't get s*** for it. With all the year-end sales, who wants a 12 year old car??
I've seen guys trying to sell their GTX Turbo converted Proteges trying to get only $2000 and they don't sell.
Nonetheless, good luck, you might find someone..

I couldn't have put it better myself. I actually bought my stock 96 Protege with 127,000 miles for, gulp, $900. That's right, that's what I talked the guy down to. The only thing wrong with the car was peeling paint gloss from the roof. A/C works too. It actually could have sold for about $1700 or even more but he didn't realize how to sell it. Your 1st gen looks even older than the 2nd gen but is a better car internally. Take off the mod parts, as stated, and put a for sale sign on the car with a price higher than what you are willing to sell it for stock and then bring it down when the potential buyer haggles you down. Otherwise, sell it with what you put on it and lose even more money if you don't really care to sell those parts separately on ebay or here on the board. That CAI pipe is the one no one wants but it looks good. That may help in the sale to people that don't know that the square corner is bad for air flow.

yea every intake that i found for my car had the square corner on it and unfortunatly i got rid of the stock air intake so that sucks. but yea ill prolly end up selling it to my brother. he said that he would pay 1500 for the car so i just have to wait for him to get the money which will be awhile cause he just turned 16.

yeah dude im selling my first gen for 3000 and its got a LOT more stuff done to it. you will not sell it for that much
