Curious if this rim setup will fit on a 2010 5? I feel like it will based on some calculations. Might have to run some extra camber in the rear to tuck it right but Im ok with that. Will be sitting on D2 coils as low as I can get them. I ordered D2 coils, camber arms, and picking up rims 2 weeks before Im getting my new 5. Trying to bring it home and immediately change it up. No stranger to low low cars so I know what Im getting into. Just curious if anybody put a setup similar to this on a 5 yet. Im hoping its pretty aggressive stance.

it will be agressive for sure, but i think you'll have a hard time fitting an 18x9 in the rear. there isn't a lot of room in there.

"hard time" and "not possible" are two totally different things.... lol. Im used to having a "hard time" getting a certain stance to work. Rolling lips, pulling fenders, and dialing in camber are all things Im used to. I have zero fear tearing into a new car in any way necessary...

i think you will have to do all three to get those wheels to fit the mazda5, especially if you also want to "slam" it. i personally would wait until i get the car in hand, before i order up some "hella" wheels for it.

i'm not even going to touch the staggered set-up...

Well awesome news today... I can pick up my 5 tonight instead of in 2 weeks so I can test fit the new wheels Im considering tomorrow. Makes life a lot easier...

Not picking up the 5 til Wednesday now. Stupid finance department couldnt finish the deal tonight. Oh well. A few days wont kill me....

Sounds like my kinda style your leaning towards, I like you already.

Heres a pic to give you an idea...

UNfortunately I do not know the size of these but man I wish I did.

You will have to roll and pull your fenders just like i did last weekend. No big deal, lol. I'm rolling on 19x7.5 and 225/35-19. I was rubbing everywhere, but since i pull off those fenders and roll'em no more troubles. I'm a happy owner now :D.

I forgot to say that i'm dropped too. (2" +)

9 inch will fit on the rear with the right offset...I'm on 8.5 and 48 offset and I could have gone 9 maybe even 9.5...in the rear....the front...I think 9 is possible with a stretched tire but you'd be pushing it....cant wait to see pics

Woah! Just saw the offset ....I hate to break it to ya but if you get those to work you will be my hero! Good Luck!

Yeah im thinkin youre gonna need to be careful of the doors brushing the wheel when open. I have checked the clearence there before and I remember it being pretty tight with the doors open. Oh man thats a scary thought:eek:

Google jdm door spacers. Lol. Picking up the 5 tomorrow at 5pm. Hopefully be able to test fit the rims Thursday morning. I'll have my D2s installed later next week. That black Premacy is Tits. Feelin that stance and its almost exactly what I'm shooting for. So pumped to rip into this car.... thanks for all the posts.

Google didnt show me anything for door spacers. I didnt look real hard though. Where did you pick up your coilovers from? $? What rim are you planning on using? And you should fill out your location on your profile.

are those like lambo doors for the sliders? (boom03)

You're on the right track with that thinking. They're a hinge that goes on the slider basically. I'll find a pic later. I've been posting from my Android phone all day... Less than 24 hours til I'm a 5 owner!!!!

My buddy is bringing over his set of 17x8 25et Work Rezax to test fit as well. Nothing like letting a new car feel some Works in its first few hours off the lot. Hopefully my 5 will immediately know its loved.... lol.
