I ran 18" x 7.5" wheels with a +45 offset, and 215/35 tires. I was also lowered 2" all around on Progress springs.
The only time I ever had a problem with rubbing was during a trip from central PA to Philly .. when I had two sets of wheels, a set of tires, two full bags of luggage, and my 190lb boyfriend in my MSP (which usually had nothing but my 100lb self in it). If I hit a big enough 'lip' (y'know, like you get on overpasses, passing from the highway pavement onto the overpass pavement) in the road, then the tires would rub.
The ONLY time I ever had a problem. But if you're prone to having a lot of crap in your car all the time .. egh.
