16" Miata Wheels on 2000 Protege

Has anyone tried 16" Miata wheels (from a 2003 Miata) on a 2000 Protege.
I know the stud spacing is the same, however I wondered about the offset and tire rubbing. Any suggestions?

If you found them in an ad on Craigslist, just have the guy bring em over to try. If they don't fit, don't buy em.
