'13 CX-9 - Creaking from bracket around shifter knob

This is our second CX-9 (previously owned a 2008) and both had a creaking noise coming from the shifter knob bracket. It is most noticeable in cold or humid weather. Anyone else have this issue? Any known fixes?

I've never noticed any creaking coming from the shifter.
