'10 3 engine specs

Im doing some research into the variations of the 3's engines.

The i model comes with the 148hp 2.0L I-4 while the S now comes with the second gen 6 engine the 2.5L I-4.

according to wikipedia the engine should be a LF-DE (141hp) or LF-VDS (150hp). I thought the 2.0l was a MZR engine, Or is it still a variation of the FS-DE? But ive only seen the 2.3l turbo engine (Mazdaspeed3) or the Miata has a 2.0L MZR (stated on the mazda site)


just curious if anyone has any more info for the engine block info.

I've seen this info. Im more so looking for the Engine ID. (ie. 2.0L MX-5 has an MZR engine, 2003 Protege5 has a FS-DE 2.0L)

it says they share the same MZR engine. hence the nickname MZ3

Gotcha, Now I got it. I guess the powerbands and internals were slightly different from the MX5 2.0 and the 3's 2.0.

oh word, no big deallll. if im lookin for specs i usually go to google and type in 2010 mazda 3 specs, you can always find what your looking for that way with all the reviews out there.

iirc, the engine code for the 2.5L is L5-VE.
