I had an alarm installed that has an auto arm feature. This feature automatically arms the alarm after the key is removed from the ignition and all of the doors are closed. Once the doors are closed after 30 seconds the alarm will arm. If you open a door after the 30 seconds has started it will just wait until you close said door and then restart the 30 second window.

The problem is that the alarm does not recognize my truck as a door. I am wondering if anyone knows a simple way to splice the wire that turns on the trunk light into the main doors and dome lights.

I had it professionally installed and I know taking it to them is an option but I hate giving my car up to them and I have trust issues with other people touching my baby. I am thinking that this would be an easy solution and am wondering if anyone has done it.

You can tap into the wire from the rear switch behind the passenger side kick panel. The wire is Black with a red stripe. It is grounded when the hatch is open.

The lights in the roof are turned on by the PJB computer. The wire color is Black with a blue stripe, going up into the roof, but I am not sure how it gets there, proably up the right side A piller. This is easiest for an alarm because it is only one wire.

Each door has it's own switch going to the PJB computer. Front left is Black with Yellow stripe, Front right is Black with a blue stripe, Left rear is Black with Orange stripe, and right rear is black with green stripe. Again, I am not sure how these get from the doors to the PJB, but it is probably up the kick panels.
