Well the 06' Mazda 3 is almost completely the same as the 04's and 05's. The only difference is two or three more toys. Everything else under the hood and wiring is the same! So look around with those years as well.

Horsepower hasn't increased at all for '06? I have the '04 model and love it to death. I'm all about (drive) on the way too and from work. Very fun car to drive.
its just some xtra bells and whistles, heated seats/automatic wipers/lights... it also seems to be cheaper now for the safety package for options only 250$
