06 Civic SI real+chops *56k*

I'm sure I'm in the majority here, but I think it looks fine stock. Those aftermarket wheels all look goofy. I never understood the attraction of dark powdercoated wheels. They just look dirty to me ... like steelies. Same for carbon fiber hoods/trunk lids on cars where the color isn't even close. Guess that's why I haven't decked out my car in any of that stuff.

In any case, to each their own.

looks very aerodynamic

That's exactly what I was thinking. From the side view, it is a lot closer to a teardrop shape than most cars. The hood flows nicely up into the lower line of the windshield, and then up and over the roof is also very smooth. Looks pretty good to me, and the interior looks good too.

The non-Si Coupes are out, but the Si won't be out until December.

is the passenger supposed to change gears or something?

Why do they have that shifter on the wrong side?

If you look closely at the way the pictures are focused. It gives the illusion that the un-focused objects are farther than they appear.

Prob a dumb question but how much those si's going to cost?

Honda hasn't released any official pricing. All they've said is "less than $20k."

As was said by InFlames, the picture creates an optical illusion. The shifter isn't at all far away. It is positioned just about perfectly for easy shifting.

i dunno bout any official dates, but ive seen a few on the road. i even inspected one and talked to the owner outside my bank. and the owner wasnt a car salesman either.

as much as I like to rat on civics, that actually looks half decent and I wish our 2.0l engine could produce the same amount of power. I'd say I could see myself in one of those later on...

Either it wasn't an Si (ie- EX, LX, or DX coupe. The exterior and interior look the same other than the wheels, the shift-knob and the upholstery.), or he worked for Honda or another aftermarket parts manufacturer. Honda has handed out a few SIs to mod for the SEMA show. But I repeat, they are not for sale to anyone yet. They go on sale on December 1.
