04 Mustang

Okay for once I have to hand it to the domestic ford designers. They must have fired those crack-pots that designed the Focus. The new Ford Mustang actually looks good. I hate the current Rustang,Japstang, etc. it is so ugly. The new design is highly reminiscent of the 60's pony cars but with more agression and cleaner lines. If the quality matches the design I would be impressed.

Not bad I say. It's the first mustang design I've ever liked

I doubt much of that concept will come off in the production line, but yeah I think it is going back to its old style of being as big as it is heavy

I personally think that all of the mustang styles scince the early 80's including this new one sucks a$$. what is it with all of the new cars that are comming out of north america that are trying to look like retro and crap. I dont know it just seems like they cant think of a way to make the style better so they are all going retro to make it seem like they care about haretige

Actually I saw a show on the Detroit Auto show when they premeired it and the question was aked how far off the production design would be from the concept and in response they said the exterior would remain largely unchanged with most of the changes happening in the interior. If that is the case then I say hell yeah. I saw a picture while in Italy of that same silver but on a convertible and it looked bad as hell. Oh yeah I am suprised nobody has mentioned that they are suprised it is a 2 seater.

I have heard that ford is going to make it a 4 seater, so dont get to excited about a 2 seater just yet.

i kinda like it. looks like eleanor has been taking steroids and working out. very shelby-ish... and you can't go wrong with shelby.

I like it except for the snout. The vents are OK but it's the shape of the grill and the molding around it that bother me. Nice tail. I wonder if the exhaust through the bumper would stay or go.

my money says the exhaust ends up like the 02's with the pipes cut into the bumper. ford does not want to go off the deep end with this design, they will probably use alot of the design but keep some stuff off till next time. either way I dont like

No, they are actually saying that the one that makes it to production will be VERY close to the concept. I must say, that mustang looks damn good. It would even make me consider buying one,.........nah, nevermind. Maybe if they made it handle good.

i agreed with dafababa that all of the designs since the 80's have kinda sucked. But i do like the knew one. But they'll do like they did with the Thunderbird and say its gonna be reasonably priced until it comes out and is 10,000 more than they said..

when that thing comes out, its going to me my next daily driver or possibly i'll keep the p5 depeding on how reliable it is and use the mustang as a weekend/show car. can't wait to see it.

the next mustang might have paddle/tap shifter.
i have seen spy shots of the current SN95 body with them installed.
