02 Protege Radio Knob

I just bought a 02 Mazda Protege and the volume knob is gone. The stereo is the cd player and cassete. Does anyone have one?

Your best bet would be to buy another stock unit, or even better don't worry about it and by an aftermarket deck. Good luck

Okay someone out there has to have a old factory deck that is willing to take off the plastic knob. I really do not want to go to the stealership and pay $30

Your other option is to buy a complete stock cd player system and swap out your cassette player into it.

Otherwise, once you get tired of constantly swapping out CD's, an MP3 player is a good option.

Just keep an I out for one on the for sale section, I see them all the time there. Also look in the WTB it section at WTB stock radio threads, you might be able to find one that way. I still say you should just save up another $30-40 and get an after market cd player. Check out ebay, they sell brand new decks there all the time for way cheap. Also look in the non mazda related goods section, is several cheap decks being sold there right now. So bottom line, it would be pointless to pay $30 for a knob when you could buy a whole new deck for that.

I may have my old deck sitting in my garage still. I'll double check for you. Hell, if I do, I'll give you the knob gratis, as long as you pay shipping which should be a whopping $5.
