I didn't spend the time reading through this, Neither do I know anything about the 2's brakes, but looking into swapping over the brakes from other models might be beneficial. I know for the 3 you can swap ms3 brakes to the front and the 5's brakes to the back as up upgrades. So maybe the 3's...

solar yellow is kinda ehhh, i much rather prefer the yellow they used on the protege's. I would never buy yellow but still. If i had to repaint id paint the whole thing spicy orange :)

I can help you out too. As for the badges all are held on by 3m tape, you can remove them carefully with dental floss, with the exception of the front which is clipped in. The best way to repaint them is to soak them in bleach which will eat away the factory coating which doesnt hold paint...
