First time drag racing, dont laugh =D

That car isn't 3000 lbs. My V6 weighed in at 2690 lbs, but on the same token, it was gutted. That's a pretty nice trap speed for 10 lbs. How much air was in your tires? BTW, your 60ft sucked.

    Anybody use Autolite plugs?

I've tried the AP, APP and the plain old 3923's. My pockets are too rich for the AR's

    Anybody use Autolite plugs?

I switch up from the Autolite 3923's and the NGK bkre5-11's on occasion being that they close in heat range. The zfr6f-11's is a heat range hotter than the 3923's so there is gonna be a big difference. The 3923's run great in my KLZE and I have no problem with them. I refuse to run a heat range...

    T3 turbo headers

I noticed that OBX makes turbo headers for the FS, but does anyone make them with the T3 flanges? If so, can someone point me in the right direction? I had plans in mounting up a Thunderbird turbo sometime and I needed to know this before I went and bought one. Thanks in advance.

Decent struts and good motor mounts will quell most of the wheel hop

    Flatfoot or powershifting

You're funny (spin) I guess you haven't heard that Mazda's have durable drive shafts. We don't have the problems with drive shafts that Honda and others have. There's guys with Turbo Probes with over 400 hp still running the stock CV axles that haven't broken yet. Flatshifting won't hurt those...

    Flatfoot or powershifting

Ok, this quote basicly says that slipping the clutch is good. Which in reality, it heats it up causing more wear. That's not good. Stripped teeth on the STi's is mainly from idiots that sometimes use the clutch to get into gear. And when they were slamming into gear, they were not only taking...

    Flatfoot or powershifting

Mazda says that if you're gonna flat shift, do it from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th and so forth. I do it all the time. It's not bad on the car as long as you have good mounts and not grinding gears

    KLZE 2.5L V6 or not??

I'm glad you did decide against it. One of the members on mazda626.net did it in her (that's right, another female!!!) '99 626 V6 5 speed. But in short, it was a pain in the ass, the TB didn't quite fit, you don't have an egr on the ZE motor, and on top of that, she had no other choice but to...

    swapping KLZE into 2nd protege

The KLDE makes between 160-170 hp and 156-165 ft lbs tq depending on what year engine you buy and what car it's coming out of. The KL03 (93-97 mx6/626/probe) had anywhere between 160-164 hp and 156-160 ft lbs tq and was fairly popular, why? I don't know but it's eager to rev. This was the engine...

    TB removal

Every engine experiences EGR residue and slight misfire on occasion and the throttle plate will cake up with that soot over time. Just take an old tooth brush and carb/throttle body cleaner and scrub and spray it down. But remember that when you try to crank it up, the check engine light may...

Rear end skipping around a corner...

On my ol' 626, I had the whole suspension set up from a Probe GT and I had inherited the thicker springs on the rear, which means i couldn't run 32 psi on the rear or the tail end would come out fairly quickly on off camber corners. I had to run no less than 28 psi rear and 34 psi front. But I...
