    Yes, better to stick w/ identical engine. Engine/ ECU s/be indentical for either a '99 or '00 1.8L ES. Some extra part/ reference numbers: Ref# NEA7 FP49-18881-B XU3F-12A650-EH thks!

    My son just moved to Brighton, MA- drives a well cared for P5. He thinks his clutch is wearing out- car has about 65K miles. I've seen a couple of recomended speed shops, but I'm thinking just a good independent shop that would look at his car and give him an honest quote is what he needs...

    To clarify, is it best to drop (lower) the engine with the car elevated or remove it from the top with a hoist? F/U question- easier to pull with the transaxle attached? thks

    Bought used for my SCCA ITB conversion, but turns out it's not legal for the class. Don't know the mfg. A few external scratches, but it works fine (didn't find out it wasn't legal until after I'd installed it). Temp sensor and MAF are NOT included, but hose clamps are. $35 plus shipping...

    Nope, didn't pre-bleed. Never did in the past, probably part of the problem now. To clarify, I just disconnected the ABS senders, otherwise left the ABS lines installed (to avoid this same problem...) thks
